What is PTA?
P is for Parents - moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, aunts, uncles, brothers, and sisters,
as well as neighbors and community members.We encourage everyone to be involved in our
children's education at home and at school.
T is for teachers - administrators, faculty, and staff at Maxey Elementary who are dedicated
to our children's futures.
A is for Association - an organization of people with a common purpose and connected by
shared ideas and feelings. Our ideas and feelings revolve around better education for our
children.
More than 30 years of research shows that children do better when their parents and families are involved both at home and school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve.
